Welcome to Alonissos, the exotic paradise on earth of the Sporades Island Complex with emerald waters, the largest natural marine park of the Mediterranean and the first underwater museum of Greece! Vacation on Alonissos is a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.

Alonissos and nearby islets are “home” to multiple rare fauna species, and more specifically to the mediterranean seal “monachus monachus”. Visitors can take a guided tour of the Marine Park. Alonissos is a place which lives also underwater with its first underwater museum of Greece. The Peristera shipwreck is considered the most significant ancient shipwreck in the world which is accessible to visitors. With a size of 25*10 meters, this ship was loaded with 4.000 amphorae and sank around 425-400 BC. There is also an ultra-modern information center for the public, the first in Greece, which takes visitors to the enchanting underwater world of the ancient shipwreck with the help of virtual reality!
Alonissos also has small and big surprises for visitors, such as the International Homeopathy Academy and the historic folk museum, which is the only “pirate” museum in the Aegean. This island is full of unique natural landscapes and rich traditions, such as the traditional wedding of Alonissos and the folk dance festival.
