Megaron – The Athens Concert Hall, founded in 1991, is a large-scale, multifunctional arts center, one of the most impressive venues of its kind in the world, with an international reputation for excellence. It is home to a range of cultural activities – both artistic and educational, as well as a premium conference centre.
Conceived as a multifunctional cultural melting pot, Megaron is fully equipped to accommodate concerts and other cultural events as well as conferences. The landmark building has a wide variety of halls with characteristics and facilities that meet the high standards and requirements of the world’s greatest orchestras, musical ensembles and dance companies. As a conference centre, Megaron is among the largest and best-equipped venues in the heart of Athens.
The Megaron Garden, a garden area of 6 acres has become a meeting spot for leisure and cultural outdoor events.
The Athens State Orchestra, the oldest orchestral ensemble in Greece, is Orchestra in Residence at Megaron. Also, the Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra founded in 2017 by conductor Dionysis Grammenos, consisting of young Greek musicians from all parts of Greece and abroad, is also in Residence at Megaron.
A sound recording centre, a three-level underground parking facility, M shop – gift shop with unique design objects of art, Μ café, Wine Bar and Fuga – the Megaron fine dining restaurant – complete the Megaron experience.
