We welcome you to Attica!
Attica is a unique destination that offers visitors multiple experiences. The main task of the Region of Attica is the continuous investment in extroversion which is the core of our tourism policy. We ensure that our valuable cultural and historical footprint is showcased at all times. The same applies to our distinctive gastronomy which is based on certified agro-food products and the excellent wine varieties, our excellent accommodation and dining infrastructure, the beauty of our cosmopolitan islands, just a stone’s throw away from the capital, and, of course, our wonderful Mediterranean climate.
All major infrastructure projects that upgrade the quality of life are in full swing, so that all visitors can have a holistic experience, worthy of the image that our region deserves. At the same time, we are redesigning the brand name of Attica, with the aim of highlighting all the strategic advantages of our region. We have a holistic plan, seeking to achieve in practice the extension of the tourist season to all 12 months of the year. However, we also emphasise the concept of sustainability, implementing “green” policies that protect the environment, respect the identity of our destinations, enhance accessibility and support the economic development of our region.
We are happy to note that 84% of our visitors indicate their strong desire to visit Attica again in the near future, while 96% would recommend Attica as a destination to friends or relatives. These numbers speak for themselves about the dynamics of our region, but also about the high-level services that Attica offers as a unique travel destination. And that is our strategy moving forward.
