The Region of Central Macedonia is located in Northern Greece and consists of 7 units: Thessaloniki, with the new “MACEDONIA” Airport and Home-Port harbor, Chalkidiki, Pieria, Kilkis, Imathia, Pella, and Serres. Due to their geographical positioning, with the 6 units arranged circularly around Thessaloniki, visitors have the opportunity to use Thessaloniki as their base and embark on day trips to the other areas via a modern road network in approximately 1 hour.

The area has many traditional villages, such as Goumenissa, where local customs are revived every year, and festivals are organized with local music and dance bands, as well as wineries where visitors can experience the wine production process, from the vineyard to bottling.
Additionally, visitors can visit the botanical garden, the area of Europos, and the castle of Old Gynaikokastro, which occupies an area of approximately 25 acres with strong external walls that are founded directly on the natural rock (with a perimeter of 614 m), while they can visit the Allied cemeteries of World War I.
A destination with endless beaches and excellent harmony of the blue sea with the green of mythical Mount Olympus, the tallest mountain in Greece (2,997 m), with traditional settlements, rich local gastronomy, multi-level cultural activity, alternative forms of tourism, monuments, and antiquities, representing the entire chronological spectrum of Greek history, such as Dion and the very well-preserved castle of Platamonas, from where one can have a panoramic view of the Aegean Sea.
