Lake Vouliagmeni is officially recognized as one of the 20 Thermal Springs of Greece by the Special Committee for the Protection of Natural Thermal Resources. It is also a part of the National NATURA 2000 List and is considered as a site of Outstanding Natural Beauty by the Ministry of Culture.
It is a natural brackish lake, with thermal water rich in salts and minerals, and a temperature ranging from 21o to 29o degrees Celsius. Doctor Fish, which reside in its waters, contribute to the Natural Spa experience, offering exfoliation to bathers while they enjoy their swim.
It is located 20 km (30-40′ drive) from the center of Athens and about 23 km from Eleftherios Venizelos National Airport and the Port of Piraeus and is on a walking distance from the center of Vouliagmeni.
It is open to visitation throughout the year, with an entrance fee (general admission or distinguished areas).
Distinguished areas with upgraded services:
Visitors wishing to pre book their seats in the Waterfront Area. Alternatively, for more exclusivity, they can choose the Privé Area. It is a specially designed, elevated area with private facilities and separate access, with magnificent views of the Lake and additional amenities (towels, upgraded restaurant service).
Lifeguard and Medical Support, Parking, Wi-Fi, Changing Rooms, Lockers, Showers with Hot Water, Access to people with disabilities (hydraulic lift for entering the water) are provided at the Lake’s premises. Additionally, the on-site Retail Shop provides the option of purchasing towels, swimming equipment and souvenirs.
Lake Vouliagmeni daily operating hours are 08:00-20:00 during the summer season, and 08:00 – 17:00 during the winter season.
General Admission Fee: 16 € Monday to Friday and 19 € Weekends and National Holidays.
