Tetsis Home & Studio on Hydra Island
Panagiotis Tetsis was a famous painter and member of the Athens Academy. His house and studio is a typical hydriot home of the 19th- early 20th c. which operates as a museum since 2016. The house and its contents, the artist’s works and the objects (furniture, drawings, family photographs, personal items, studio materials, workshop objects, tools, etc) are put on display in a manner highlighting the particular value of the ensemble.
The Tetsis Home & Studio is open to all visitors, upon request, in cooperation with the personnel of the Lazaros Koundouriotis Historic Mansion.
The museums are both annexes of the National Historical Museum (Athens).
